What is the "AI for Empowering Learning and Teaching Funding Programme"?
Through the Quality Education Fund, the Education Bureau has launched the “AI for Empowering Learning and Teaching Funding Programme”, offering each eligible primary and secondary school a one-off grant of HK$500,000 to develop AI software, hardware, platforms and school-based AI solutions directly related to learning and teaching, driving teaching transformation from the 2025/26 to 2027/28 school years. Schools must apply on or before 28 February 2026, implement AI-assisted teaching in at least three subjects, conduct public/demo lessons and sharing sessions, and organise student activities to enhance students’ AI literacy and skills.

Application Deadline and Quota
To align with the Education Bureau’s “AI-Powered Learning and Teaching” grant timeline, schools are advised to complete the following by February 28, 2026:
- Initial planning of grant direction and school-based AI needs.
