Make your work easier in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides with the enhanced tool finder. It helps you discover common tools easily. You’ll find it right at the top of your Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.

If you open the enhanced tool finder, you’ll notice suggestions for common actions users take when preparing a new document, spreadsheet, or presentation, such as:
Page setup, Dropdown, Meeting notes in Docs
Page setup, Spell check, Edit theme in Slides
Google Docs
A quick search for “who last viewed this doc” in the tool finder will surface the Activity Dashboard, providing valuable insights. It helps you keep track of what’s happening with your document.
Google Sheets
In Google Sheets, you can now easily freeze rows or make your tables look better with different colors. It keeps your spreadsheet neat and organized.
Or create alternating colors for the table.
Google Slides
In Google Slides, use the tool finder to quickly add tables, gif or images. This intuitive feature streamlines the design process, allowing you to focus on content creation.
Once you begin editing, you can find recent actions by clicking into the tool finder for easy access to your previously used features. Prior to this launch, you could find features by navigating to Help>Search the menus. Starting today, that will redirect you to the enhanced tool finder. After a short transition period, the redirect will be removed and the tool finder will live permanently in the toolbar. Forget about the old way of finding features; the enhanced tool finder now stays in the toolbar for good. This makes your work smoother and saves you time. Try it now for a faster and simpler workflow!
